DURATION OF SURGERY OF LAPAROSCOPIC NEPHRECTOMY -AN INITIAL EXPERIENCE IN IGMC, SHIMLA

Background: Laparoscopic nephrectomy has been established as the standard of care for management benign non-functioning kidneys and gained worldwide popularity over past decade.
 Methods- This study was conducted in Department General surgery, Indira Gandhi medical college, Shimla on 20 selected patients non functional kidney admitted elective Nephrectomy between July 2018 to June 2019
 Results: In this study, mean operating time success full laparoscopic nephrectomies 103.7 + 20.6 min lap converted open it 165 .7 +26.99 hand-assisted tame taken 150 which is statically not significant with p value =0.1317.
 Conclusion: The completion first 4 cases 105 next 108 last 97 there definitive learning curve less compared initial but also depends other factors like hydronephrotic due well maintained plane dissection take ,but pyonephrotic ,tubercular kidney,previously intervension PCN, were dense adhesion resulting more disection.
